The magnolia's popularity has been well known for decades, because it gives a garden a special look with its unique beauty. This type of magnolia can reach a height of up to 3-5 m and a width of 4 m. Its exceptional virtue is that it blooms in spring, before the leaves appear. It blooms in April-May, but some varieties can surprise us with repeat flowering. Its large, 13-15 cm flowers are round and dark purple. Planting in a partially shaded spot, sheltered from the wind, is recommended. It requires well-drained, slightly acidic soil rich in nutrients. Its water needs are high. It does best planted as a specimen, next to the house or in the middle of a lawn, where its beauty will come to full expression.
